Paint a Picture of Healthy Community - 19th Sunday after Pentecost

In this message, Pastor Kevin continues to paint a picture of the future of Marina Christian Fellowship.  He focuses on church as a healthy community that is both radically inclusive but also transformative.  We are accepted just as we are, but should never expect that Christ will leave us as we are.  We often come to "the party" dressed in barbed wire.  If we stay in that attire, it is hard for people to love us or for us to love others.  Will we put on the new clothes that are offered to us?  If we don't put on Christ, our Christianity will be a put on. 

Paint a Picture (Unscripted)

We can so easily lose our serenity.  Is there a pathway to peace?  There is, but it requires a different mindset.  Serenity comes from having the mind of Christ.  Pastor Kevin paints a picture of sernity through letting go.

But that's not fair!  Jesus told stories that opened up a different reality to us.  This reality, which Jesus called God's Kingdom, can be hard to see.  But once we see it, we can't unsee it.  One thing that is most difficult to see and understand is the reality of grace.  It can seem so unfair to us.  But as Pastor Kevin says in the message, "Thank God that God is not fair!"
